How does Invisalign work?
Invisalign aligners gradually reposition your teeth to make them straighter. You’ll wear a series of clear, plastic aligners during the course of your treatment, which will apply gentle pressure to straighten your teeth. For most people, it takes Invisalign around 6-18 months to get their smile looking as they would like.
- You’ll wear each set of aligners for 1 week, only removing them to eat and drink or clean.
- Each aligner will move your teeth a little bit further until you reach your desired, straighter smile.
- You’ll visit us every 4-6 weeks so we can make sure your treatment is progressing properly.

Treatment plan
We’ll put together a comprehensive treatment plan and go over it with you to make sure we’re hitting all your smile goals. You can also choose to have a digital smile created to preview what your teeth could look like after treatment.
Treatment
You’ll be fitted for your Invisalign aligners, then it will be time to pop them in. You’ll wear each set of aligners for one week before moving on to the next ones. The total treatment time can be anything from 6-18 months (though you should start to see results a few weeks into your treatment). We’ll stay in touch with you throughout and you’ll see your dentist every 4-6 weeks.
